A Letter from the CEO
Dear Reader,
"Discover what ignites your passion, that's your real job here on Earth. Let it light you up and then find a way to share that with other people".

What makes you happy? Me? I find an enormous amount of happiness in being a voice for those who cannot speak. From being the little girl who wanted to buy every single stuffed lion in the store to being able to quote The Lion King on instant, it is unmistakable what my passion is.

Lions are immaculate animals. They are strong and independent yet fiercely loyal. Just the presence of one radiates strength, fearlessness, and a tenacity like no other. Moreover, a lion never has to prove its strength, its presence speaks for itself. The greatest piece of advice I give to people is to "be like a lion".

I would like to introduce you to Pause for Paws, my very own not-for-profit, conservation organization. Through Pause for Paws, I advocate for the awareness and eradication of malicious practices such as retaliatory killing, trophy hunting, and poaching. Additionally, I study how socioeconomic and sociopolitical factors come into play in regards to animal welfare and human-wildlife conflicts. Along with education and awareness, I also run several active campaigns in which all proceeds go directly towards efforts in saving the lions.

Do you remember how many people were outraged when the media dropped the story involving the killing of beloved lion, Cecil? How many of those outraged people, do you think, did something beyond posting on social media or bringing it up over a drink with friends? The answer is, very few. And while bringing about awareness to these situations is never a bad thing, when it comes to the lives of these majestic animals, there is so much more that needs to be done. There must be action.

My goal is to educate as well as provide the best ways to directly take action against the cruel practices that surround lions and many other species of wildlife every day. While I strive to one day be able to save animals from disease and injury, I gravely acknowledge the fact that there are so many other sources of harm out there. I have faith that with your help, we can stop these sickening actions being taken against these beautiful creatures. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading and beginning to become more aware of what I stand for. Be like a lion.

"Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not"
-The Lorax
God Bless,
